Multiple injuries have been reported following a gas explosion in downtown Youngstown. Emergency crews are working diligently to rescue individuals from the building and to provide immediate medical attention. The incident took place just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Realty building on E. Federal Street. Those living in the apartments on the top floors were promptly evacuated.

Of particular concern is the presence of Chase Bank on the ground level of the building. A spokesperson from the bank has confirmed that they are in close communication with local authorities to ensure the well-being of all occupants. Once safety has been assured, the focus will shift to assessing the extent of the explosion’s damage.
