Warren, Ohio is mourning the loss of Jonte Davis, a dedicated U.S. Postal Service mail carrier, in a tragic incident. Last Saturday, Warren Police responded to reports of gunfire at around 1:44 p.m. in the 600 block of Olive Avenue Northeast, and discovered Davis inside his postal van with a gunshot wound. Despite their best efforts to save him, Davis was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities suspect this was a deliberate attack, and no suspects are currently in custody. The U.S. Postal Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Warren Police Department are working together to investigate the matter.
