BCI STATE BACKGROUND CHECK

BCI (State Database Check) Digital fingerprints are electronically transmitted to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification (BCI&I) for processing and forwarded to the designated recipient. Processing time typically ranges from 24 to 72 hours, depending on factors such as workload, the receiving agency's processing capacity, and the quality and completeness of the submission. Additional considerations, such as outstanding warrants linked to the individual, may also affect the timeline. Once processing is complete, BCI&I generates a response indicating whether a match exists within the state database. This response is securely transmitted to the requesting agency, often via a secure portal or email. It is important to note that a 'no match' response does not confirm the absence of a criminal record but simply reflects that no matching data was found in the Ohio BCI&I database.

FBI FEDERAL BACKGROUND CHECK

FBI (National Database Check) Digital fingerprints are submitted to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification (BCI&I), which processes the data and forwards it to the designated location. Turnaround times vary based on factors such as workload and the complexity of the request, typically ranging from a few hours to several days. Upon completion, results are transmitted electronically to the requesting agency, commonly through a secure portal. A confirmation email is provided to indicate whether a match was found or if the search returned no results. In cases where a match is identified, the requesting agency receives pertinent details regarding the individual's criminal history, in compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. Depending on the nature of the match and the information provided, further investigation may be required to address specific findings.

BCI/FBI Background Check

Ohio BCI & FBI (Comprehensive Database Checks) Digital fingerprints are transmitted to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification (BCI&I) and subsequently forwarded to the designated recipient. The processing time for this service can take several weeks, contingent upon the workload of both the BCI&I and the receiving agency. Additional factors, such as the quality and clarity of the digital fingerprints, as well as the complexity of the background check, may also affect the timeline. Upon completion, a detailed report is issued, indicating whether any matches were identified in either the Ohio BCI or FBI databases. This comprehensive report includes information on criminal history, such as arrests, convictions, and outstanding warrants. The finalized results are then securely delivered to the requesting entity, which may include employers, licensing agencies, or other authorized organizations.
